The Valdivieso Caballo Loco Grand Cru Apalta is a premium red wine produced by Viña Valdivieso in the terroir of the Apalta Valley, Chile. It combines tradition and innovation to clearly express the characteristics of the local soil and climate.
It shows an intense ruby-red appearance with violet reflections. On the nose, it stands out for complex aromas of ripe black fruits — such as plum and blackberry — along with herbal notes, sweet spices (vanilla and clove) and touches of chocolate and tobacco from aging in oak barrels.
On the palate it presents a firm structure, full body and well-defined, integrated tannins. The acidity is balanced, enhancing the fruity flavors and delivering a long, persistent finish. It is recommended to pair with red meats and sophisticated dishes, offering a rich and elegant tasting experience.
